Who's That Silly Looking Dog?

My New Home

I don't remember much about my life before, but I'm sure it wasn't very good. Why do I say that? Because I had some nappy, dirty, matted long hair that obviously needed some big-time brushing & grooming. I mean, for goodness sakes, I'm a shih-tzu, the breed of the Chinese Royals (not like those goofy looking Corgi's the Queen of England likes so much). Everyone knows that we have the most awesome hair ever...well, if you help me take care of it, that is.

Anyways, all I know is that on New Year's Eve of 2007, I became terribly lost. I don't remember how long I was lost for, but I knew I didn't like it one bit. I was running through the mean streets of Buena Park when I suddenly froze up when a big truck almost ran over me. Then came running over was a nice lady named Diane screaming at the top of her lungs (she later becomes my God Mother). After a trip to the police station where I stayed overnight, I then was taken to Diane's work at an animal hospital (how convenient!). When I got there a bunch of people started examining me. I didn't mind it so much, maybe because they were all in funny looking outfits (I think they're called scrubs).

I liked it there at the Animal Hospital. Everyone was so nice to me and gave me lots of chicken to eat (mmmm....chicken). They even gave me a bath & cut my super nappy hair (I can't wait to get in front of a mirror to see how awesome I look). I then met this Asian couple and the guy was holding this pink fuzzy sweater thing. I think the girl actually worked here too. They put it on me and it was really soft. Next thing you know, I'm in a car driving and then taken into an apartment. I think this is my new home.

They even bought me a nice looking bed...not big on the green color though because clashes with the pink sweater...but it's very, very soft and comfortable (just like my pink sweater).

I think the guy has a camera pointed at me...I better pose for him:

Yeah, that's a good shot...

I better take a look around, make sure things are good enough for a royal girl like me.

Ooh, I think I see something I like...

Hey guys, can I have this bed instead? It's so much bigger and is a nicer color than my green one.

I guess not (can't blame a girl for trying)...

Well, that's enough exploring for me today. I'm really tired from this whole ordeal. It's crazy thinking that only 24 hours ago I was running for my life on the streets. It's kinda nice being in a quiet, warm room. Why, it's the perfect place to take my first nap in my new home. Good night.
